Ok so I started a blog about me and my roommate talking about our weight loss issues .... but I dont want to forget my own personal nonsense ranting and music suggestions! So If I could recommend reading my new blog called Not Lazy but Awesome. I hope you enjoy it!!
I think since that is my weight loss blog maybe i should start posting more of my music suggestions AND awesome crafts ideas here. Be prepared 2012.... Im back and with a bigger attitude!
Anyways Im sick as a dog thanks to whomever/whatever but it sucks. So Im off work for the day relaxing with extra time on my hands googling, blogging and watching old Grey's Anatomy episodes. Its not terrible but honestly Id rather be keeping myself busy at work and getting paid to do so.
Have I mentioned Im discovering a secret obsession with NPR? Its healthy Id say but still one of those things that I have discovered by accident attempting to find college indie radio stations on my trip from Philadelphia to Columbus Ohio. I found some sort of mock mountain stage. I loved it!!! It was at some farm which I wish I remembered the name so I could try to research it more and how to get there! Anyways NPR had a few informative shows on that seemed to intrigue me very much. ( they also happened to make me feel smart so I continued this trend for each visit).
Anyways I bring this up because I happened to hear about "Birdy" on one of these shows(that or XPN... credit where credits do.. unless you forget where it was!) She is about 15/16 years old with an incredible voice and seems to do covers of other incredible indie bands songs. She just released a new album it seems mostly on sale in the UK( self titled). Checked it out and try to get it when its here in the states. I am personally trying to make a purchase on I-tunes UK to get a copy because honestly.... an amazing spin put by a beautifully voiced young lady of all of my favorite songs, well, that is something I need asap! Here is a small example of her covering Bon Iver's Skinny Love. Thanks Birdy! Kudos for being awesome!
